NCAA RESULTS ROUND-UP: FRIDAY

Luckily, I watched and tweeted a bit of the NCAA yesterday night. I watched Central Michigan v Northern Illinois and BYU v South East Missouri but I also tweeted/blogged live stats too and I briefly listened to LSU audio against Missouri (when Mincia Hall got a 10.0!)
As you know, I'll do the highest scorers on all the events and all-around.

(NSH means New Season High)

LSU (197.275) v Missouri (194.575)

So, I briefly listened to the LSU audio and I was so excited when LSU's Llominica Hall managed to score a perfect ten, the first time in decades. Not only that, Rheagan Courville won the all-around, with a new season high. It was also the first time that Jessie Jordan went up for an all-around meet, she managed to gain 3rd.

Vault: Rheagan Courville (LSU) - 9.950
Bars: Kaleigh Dickson/Rheagan Courville (LSU) - 9.850
Beam: Rachel Updike (Missouri)/Jessie Jordan/Rheagan Courville (LSU) - 9.900
Floor: Llomincia Hall (LSU) - 10.000

Kentucky (195.825) v Georgia (195.825)

WOW, a draw between No.18 Kentucky and No.6 Georgia. I couldn't watch this meet because of damn ALL ACCESS but I did tweet some of the Live Stats. Audrey Harrison from Kentucky managed a new season high for the all-around and managed a win. Georgia's Brittany Rogers managed a 9.925 on vault to tie for the win, a new season high also and she also debuted her all-around meet.

Vault: Brittany Rogers/Brandi Jay (Georgia) - 9.925
Bars: Brittany Rogers/Chelsea Davis (Georgia) - 9.900
Beam: Kaylan Earls (Georgia) - 9.875
Floor: Audrey Harrison (Kentucky) - 9.900
AA: Audrey Harrison (Kentucky) - 39.900

Brigham Young (195.150) v SE Missouri (192.350)

I was lucky enough to watch this meet, I have become a very supporting fan of the BYU cougars after I watched them a few weeks back at Boise State. They started off strong on the vault, freshie Eliane Kulczyck took the highest score of 9.875, SE Missouri could've started better after they had to count a fall but Taryn Vanderpool had a beautiful routine to score 9.800.

Vault: Eliane Kulcyzk (BYU) - 9.875
Bars: Haylee Rollins (BYU) - 9.850
Beam: Makenzie Johnson (BYU) - 9.850
Floor: Haylee Rollins (BYU) - 9.825
AA: Raquel Willman (BYU) - 39.000

Florida (198.100) v Alabama (196.850)

Florida managed an easy win against the Crimson Tide. Florida's Bridget Sloan managed an all-around win and a new season high. Florida also managed to create a new team high score. For Alabama, Marissa Gutierrez won the vault, with 0.050 on her season high.
Kim Jacob also achieved a new all-around season high.

Vault: Marissa Gutierrez (Alabama) - 9.950
Bars: Bridget Sloan/Mackenzie Caquatto (Florida) - 9.950
Beam: Mackenzie Caquatto (Florida) - 9.925
Floor: Ashanee Dickerson (Florida) - 9.975
AA: Bridget Sloan (Florida) - 39.675

Michigan (196.925) v Ohio (196.250)

Ex-leaders Michigan managed a narrow win against the Buckeyes. Hungarian gymnast Austin Lee Sheppard managed a new vault season high of 9.875. Katie Zurales and Joanna Sampson both did amazing jobs at competing all-around but we didn't see Suchi Sugiyama completing the all-around field.

Vault: Katie Zurales (Michigan) - 9.925
Bars: Alyssa Marohn (Ohio) - 9.900 (NSH)
Beam: Briley Cassanova (Michigan) - 9.875 (NSH)
Floor: Joanna Sampson (Michigan) - 9.925

That's a handful of the meets that were on last night, the new season rankings haven't been announced yet but I think Florida will be able to retain their lead. LSU also did very well tonight, they were No.8 ranked coming into this weekend and I think they could move up. Brigham Young did very well still, hopefully I will be catching up next week with them.

Today's (Saturday) Meets;

5pm - Illinois v Minnesota - Stats
7pm - Lindenwood v Bowling Green - Video
9pm - Utah v California - Video - Stats
