The Israeli Gymnastics Committee says even if one of their gymnasts qualifies for the Olympics via Test Event they will still have to come 12th in the all-around or 6th in an event final.
Maksyuta will need to show her full form routines at the Europeans to get to the Olympics. Valeria has the potential too come 6th on Vault or possibly beam but it will be harder task to upgrade floor and bars before May, it's possible but event finals are pretty unlikely on those pieces.
If Maksyuta doesn't meet those requirements, she can however petition against the Israeli Committee.
But, history doesn't help, in 2008 Vered Finkel, qualified via test event but still couldn't make it due to they same reasons stated.
Should Maksyuta fail to qualify with the results and if her campaign isn't for her, Jordan Rae of New Zealand will take her spot!
From now on, her place hangs in the balance of Brussels!
